Study Shows Pine Bark Reduces Jetlag [2008/11/05] [Pycnogenol] A new study published in the journal of Minerva Cardioangiologica reveals Pycnogenol, pine bark extract from the French maritime pine tree, reduces jetlag in passengers by nearly 50 percent. The two-part study, consisting of a brain CT scan and a scoring system, showed Pycnogenol lowered symptoms of jetlag such as fatigue, headaches, insomnia and brain edema (swelling) in both healthy individuals and hypertensive patients. Passengers also experienced minimal lower leg edema, a common condition associated with long flights.
| Bionic Products to enter Canadian energy drink market [2007/08/01] [Datamonitor] US power and energy drink company Bionic Products has developed plans to enter the Canadian energy drink market. JD Pulver, spokesperson for Bionic Products, said the company intends to establish a Canadian office in Montreal in August. "Montreal is a natural choice for our organization since we will be able to effectively service the corridor between Quebec City and Windsor. This 1,200 kilometer stretch has over 14 million potential consumers," Mr Pulver said.
