Former Olympic Champion, Peggy Fleming, to Appear at the Whole Foods Market in Cupertino

Having won consecutive World Championships in 1966 and 1967, American figure skater Peggy Fleming entered the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France as the favorite for the Gold Medal. She did not disappoint. Fleming was America’s only Gold Medal from those grand and memorable games that were dominated by Norway, the USSR, and Austria.

Now an advocate for national health and wellness, Fleming is scheduled to appear at the Whole Foods Market in Cupertino on Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The former Olympian will be promoting the “Healthy 365” educational campaign designed to encourage Americans to take a more active, daily role in ensuring their heart health and overall fitness level.
