Kyowa Hakko USA, the wholly owned subsidiary of Tokyo-based Kyowa Hakko Bio Co., Ltd. and global manufacturer of health ingredients for use in dietary supplements, conventional and functional foods, cosmetic, industrial and pharmaceutical industries, has announced it is celebrating its 40th anniversary in the United States.

Kyowa Hakko Bio Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Kyowa Hakko Kirin, Co., Ltd. was the first company in the world to successfully produce and commercialize amino acids using fermentation methods. ‘Hakko’, in Japanese means fermentation, reflecting its key technology.
