SourceOne Announces Human Study Results

SourceOne Global Partners has announced the results of a study comparing the absorption and bioavailability of the key ingredient in Cholesstrinol™ HP, PMF-Source™ Citrus Polymethoxylated Flavones (PMF) with the patented VESIsorb® Delivery System, to standard PMF powder. The bioavailability pilot study (single oral dose, double-blind, crossover design) showed that both Nobiletin and Tangeretin in the standard PMF powder and VESIsorb® formulation were absorbed and extensively metabolized.  The PMF absorption of the VESIsorb® formulation was significantly improved and faster (Tmax) compared to the standard PMF powder.  Peak plasma levels (Cmax) of Nobiletin, Tangeretin and their metabolites were increased up to 800%.

CoQsource® Q10 Ubiquinone
The peer-reviewed journal, Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine, recently published the results of a double-blind study comparing the bioavailability of patented CoQsource® Bio-Enhanced CoQ10 (exclusive brand of SourceOne) to that of other “bio-enhanced” CoQ10 formulations. The study, entitled, “Relative Bioavailability Comparison of Different Coenzyme Q10 Formulations with a Novel Delivery System,” appears in the March/April, 2009 issue, Vol. 15, No. 2. 

In this study, the relative bioavailability of a single oral dose of 120mg of CoQ10 was assessed using the area under curve [AUC (0-10h)] where the value for CoQsource® reached 30.62 µg/ml/10h; a far superior 622% higher bioavailability than the oil-based formula.

CoQsource® QH-Ubiquinol
A pharmacokinetic pilot study (single oral dose, crossover) in humans comparing Ubiquinol-QH to the same Ubiquinol-QH in the VESIsorb® delivery system (CoQsource® QH exclusively from SourceOne) demonstrated an increase of 696% in peak blood levels (cmax) of Ubiquinol. The relative bioavailability calculated using the area under the curve (AUC0-24h) was also increased by 485%.

OmegaChoice™ Concentrated Omega-3 EPA/DHA
A pharmacokinetic study (single oral dose, crossover) in humans comparing OmegaChoice™ 90 Concentrated Omega-3 EPA to the same OmegaChoice™ 90 in the VESIsorb® delivery system demonstrated an increase of 567% in peak blood levels (cmax) of EPA. The relative bioavailability calculated using the area under the curve (AUC0-12h) was also increased by 487%.
