To support their record revenue growth of 105% from 2007, Alkemists continues to make significant investments in its operations. Its goal to double physical capacity is nearly complete. “We’ve been planning our strategic growth for some time now and are implementing an aggressive approach to meet customer demand,” says Elan Sudberg, COO of Alkemist Labs.
The expansion will enable the lab to approximately double the weekly sample load, with a primary emphasis on faster turn-around-time. Alkemists has developed core offerings of HPTLC (TLC) and HPLC services to the Industry for the last 10 years. “By increasing our capacity to this new level, we can expect to attract more of the larger Dietary Supplement Manufacturers because we can support their unique needs without compromising quality control. Simultaneously, we will offer the same level of service to the smaller companies, continuing to help them grow with confidence,” says Sudberg.
As the rollout of GMPs moves to mid-sized supplement manufacturers this year, Alkemists is confident business will only continue to grow. “We’re going to try to win NBJ’s growth award again in 2009,” Sudberg said.
