Nature’s Path introduces four mouth-watering Organic Toaster Pastries
2007-03-23 - Nature’s Path Foods, Inc.

Blaine, Wash., USA – Nature’s Path Foods, Inc. – North America’s leading organic cereal maker* – wants consumers to know that not all Toaster Pastries are created equal!  The company has added four great-tasting varieties and two new sizes to its popular line of USDA Certified Organic Toaster Pastries – pushing the total to 12.  The new flavors include: Cherry Pomegran™, Chocolate, Brown Sugar Maple Cinn™, and unfrosted Brown Sugar Maple Cinn™.

Nature’s Path consumer Ben from Austin, Texas says:

“I just bought and ate your new (Organic) Toaster Pastries.  They are wonderful.  Still a kid at heart, I am new to a veg-organic-all natural foods lifestyle.  I will never have ‘Pop Tarts’ brand again.  Your filling is just right and the ‘crust’ is really like having the actual crust of a fresh baked pie!  Thanks for making them and I can’t wait to try more of your products.”

The Nature’s Path Toaster Pastries make a convenient grab-and-go breakfast item or snack food.  They are made with whole-grain flour, organic flavors and real fruit fillings.  Each pastry is lower in fat than the leading competitor’s brand, with no trans fat and only about 210 calories.  At Nature’s Path we use organic palm oil, which has antioxidant qualities and provides a natural balance of saturated and unsaturated fats.

The new Chocolate Organic Toaster Pastry uses Fair Trade Cocoa.  Fair Trade certification guarantees fair wages and decent working conditions, benefits workers’ communities and promotes sustainable farming methods.

The new Toaster Pastries join the existing line of frosted and unfrosted Strawberry, Blueberry and Apple Cinnamon six packs.  The suggested retail price for these products ranges from $2.59 to $3.29.  In addition, two larger Family Packs of 12 pastries each have been added for the frosted Strawberry and Brown Sugar Maple Cinn.

Toaster pastries are North America’s second most popular breakfast choice.  Shelf stable toaster pastries are a $406 million category with a negative category growth of -2.3.  The Nature’s Path brand ranks No. 4 and is proud to boast a growth rate of 119.5%.**

Founded in 1985, Nature’s Path Foods is headquartered in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada and employs more than 300 people at its four facilities across Canada and the U.S.  The family owned company produces breakfast foods, snacks and pasta that are sold in specialty foods stores and national retailers in more than 40 countries around the world.  The company’s brands include: Nature’s Path, EnviroKidz™, LifeStream® and Optimum®.  For more information, visit us at www.naturespath.com.
