My Family Farm Teams Up with Non-Profit 'Mothers Acting Up'
2006-03-06 - My Family Farm

Fort Thomas, Kentucky (March 6, 2006) My Family Farm, manufacturer of award-winning, all natural and organic cookies and crackers with all net profits to children’s charities, announced today that the company will be sponsoring several Mother’s Day parades across the nation held by the non-profit organization, Mothers Acting Up (MAU). On May 14th, MAU will hold “outrageously costumed parades” to reclaim Mother’s Day as it was originally envisioned in 1870 – a day when mothers would gather to protect the lives of our human family. My Family Farm will sponsor three locations: New York, Seattle and Boulder, Colorado by co-promoting the event to raise awareness and by supplying delicious, all-natural cookies and crackers to participants and onlookers at the event.

According to Annie Bennett, President of My Family Farm, “We are so proud to be involved with Mothers Acting Up. Our mission at My Family Farm supports their initiatives because we donate all net profits to charities that protect, nurture and empower children.” The company focuses on three areas: prevention of child abuse, educational and therapeutic activities and wildlife preservation/environmental education. Boulder-based Joellen Raderstorf, co-founder of MAU agrees, “The purpose of the 2006 MAU Mother’s Day celebrations are to inspire, educate and engage local communities to move from concern to action on issues confronting children worldwide. Working with My Family Farm in the past has been a delight and we look forward to our partnership in these parades.” Interested parties may log onto www.mothersactingup.org for a complete list of activities throughout the country.

My Family Farm offers a delicious line of all natural cookies and crackers including Captain’s Catch Baked Cheese Crackers, Field Friends Baked Whole Wheat Crackers, Surf Snacks Baked Pizza Crackers, Arctic Bear Iced Lemon Cookies, Brown Bear Chocolate Dipped Vanilla Cookies and Wild Animal Vanilla Cookies. The company’s net profits help non-profit organizations obtain the resources they need to protect, nurture and empower children. Products are available nationally in select supermarkets, natural food stores, specialty food outlets as well as mail order.
