According to Deutsche Welle, newspapers in Germany are reporting that the country's board of health insurers and doctors has suggested ending health insurance coverage of non-prescription herbal drugs, meaning that users must pay for these products themselves. The move, according to the article would save the public health insurance system about €1 billion a year, and is related to health reform occuring in that country.
