WHO:    Jocelyn Mathern, R.D., Technical Specialist for Acatris, will present an educational seminar titled "Enhancing your Health with Flax Lignans," at Expo West on Saturday, March 6, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in Room 201D.   Jocelyn will discuss the history of flax, the health benefits flax lignans can provide and will examine the unique properties of lignans as well as the research behind the ingredient. Participants will learn which health arenas are most promising and how to market and develop products containing lignans.

Jocelyn Mathern, a registered dietitian, is a nutrition and exercise science expert with years of experience in the nutraceutical and functional food arenas.  Presently, Jocelyn is responsible for managing industry and consumer education outreach for Acatris ingredients. Her expertise encompasses soy isoflavones, flax and fiber research information.
