Momence, Illinois … (August 9, 2005) … VDF FutureCeuticals offers powdered vegetable seed sprouts that contain components which may help fight cancer and other degenerative diseases.

Sprout seed powders contain substances such as such as glucosinolates, sulphoraphane, ellagic acid, and kaemferol, that have been found to improve hypertension, inflammation, atherosclerosis, and help maintain blood glucose levels.

Sprouts of many plants have more of these helpful components than their full-grown counterparts; some research has shown that broccoli seed sprouts contain as much as 10 times the amount of these beneficial substances than the full-grown plant.

Unfortunately, sprouts have a very limited shelf life, making them difficult to transport for fresh consumption. FutureCeuticals has found a way to capture the fresh-sprouted nutrition of these seeds and preserve them for use in supplements and a variety of foods.

Sold as a free-flowing powder, VDF FutureCeuticals sprouts and SproutGarden Blend are ready to be encapsulated or blended into other products.
