| What on Earth Launches Kiddy Organic Pizza Range for Frazzled Parents and Unveils New Deals with European Stores.
What on Earth – The Uk’s first organic pizza company has launched a new
range of children’s pizza designed to help kiddies go organic and beat the
fast food craze and has revealed it is now selling to companies and stores
in Europe as well as looking to the US for possible import/export deals.
The children’s pre-made pizza kit offers exhausted mums and dads an easy
meal for children – each box contains 5 mini organic pizzas just the right
size for a dinner or lunch.
The business sells into France and the company bosses have just returned
from the USA from talks with organic businesses regarding import/export
deals into the growing organic UK retail market which was worth Ł1 billion
last year.
There are 3 types of boxes include five pizzas.
The boxes have cool names kids can associate with – parents and children can
choose from: Maggie and Rita – a box of tomato, mozzarella and basil pizzas,
Fun Guy – a mushroom and cheese pizzas and Oinker – a ham and cheese pizzas.
The pizzas are five inches wide - just the size that can be eaten by
kiddies.
They’re made from totally organic products and can be frozen and taken from
the freezer to make a quick meal.
“For mums and dads harassed after a hard days work the pizzas are an easy
option for the dinner for children. For kids the funky packaging and the
chance to eat a pizza means no complaining about dinner, “ said What on
Earth Managing Director, Jeremy Jaffe.
“Kids love to go to the freezer and select a pizza of choice from one of to
boxes mum and dad have purchased.”
What on Earth decided to make the children’s pizzas after realising more and
more children only wanted to eat fast food. Parents however didn’t want
their children eating product that was unhealthy.
“We decided that organic mini pizzas would work perfectly. The product is
organic and healthy. The fat content is low and it’s fun eating,” said
Jeremy.
Jeremy and business partner Rolf De Polla decided to market the pizzas in
boxes of 5 with cool kid friendly labelling so they could choose them from
the supermarket shelf and not feel mum or dad was making them eat ‘healthy’
food.
“The great thing is the pizzas are healthy and kids love them.”
The latest research shows more and more parents want their children to adopt
more healthy eating habits but getting them to turn away from fast food
giants on the high street is a nightmare.
“Our kiddie pizza boxes are just the ticket…child friendly and a parent
problem solver.”
The pizza boxes are now on sale in 10 stores and What on Earth is now being
approached my major retailers to stock the boxes.
What on Earth was set up by 2 London men, who could not get a high quality
organic pizza and so instead of complaining set up their own company. What
on Earth now sells a range of adult organic pizzas in a range of sizes,
organic pre-packed salad bags and children’s pizzas.
The company also sells direct via mail order and is based in Battersea,
London and also deals with companies in Europe and the USA.
