The Intramedicine TCM database is unique in that it is the only one of it's kind to have been prepared for use by Western healthcare professionals. The database was acquired in it's original form in August of 2000, and is a collaborative effort of Intramedicine, Dr. Ann Wang, who is an overseas consultant for the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, and her team of professionals in Beijing, China.

The primary goal of TCM is to promote healing by maintaining wellness, balance and harmony in the entire body, with the main focus on treating the person, not the disease.
