Swiss drug giant Roche sells vitamin unit to Dutch firm

According to the Associated Press, Roche has signed the deal for the sale of its vitamin unit to Dutch company DSM for 1.9 billion euros ($2.11 billion) with approximately 1.85 euros cash and the balance as 2.24 million DSM shares.

Roche also said it had settled all litigation in its vitamin price-fixing case, although it retains legal liability.

The deal is expected to close in the spring.
