PALMYRA, Wis., Jul 13, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Standard Process Inc.(R), a manufacturer of whole food nutritional supplements, has begun construction of a 100,000-square-foot addition to its corporate headquarters in Palmyra, Wis., the company announced today. The multimillion-dollar project will expand the existing 160,000-square-foot Standard Process headquarters to accommodate more manufacturing and office space. The expansion will take an estimated 12 months to complete.
Once completed, the Jefferson County (WI) manufacturer expects to add an estimated 40 new jobs to its current payroll of 200. The new hires will occur over a two-year period.
The new facilities will include individual production suites for each manufacturing process, new manufacturing equipment, additional warehouse space, updated offices and employee locker rooms, and an expanded fitness center. The growth of the fitness center, used by both employees and employee spouses, supports the company's commitment to its employee wellness program.
Excel Engineering Inc. of Fond du Lac, Wis., designed the addition. Kotze Construction Co. Inc. of Milwaukee is the builder.
