LOS ANGELES, CA, April 27, 2006 – Soft Gel Technologies, Inc.® (SGTI®) and OptiPure Brand Chemco Industries Inc.® (OptiPure®) announce their sponsorship of two education opportunities at the upcoming SupplySide East trade show to be held at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, New Jersey on May 1st–3rd. Attendees interested in learning about market-relevant science and compelling data on dietary supplements should not miss these two VendorWorks presentations hosted by SGTI® and OptiPure®. These programs are part of both companies’ efforts to promote education within the industry.
The first VendorWorks presentation will be held on Tuesday, May 2nd at 10 a.m. SGTI® and OptiPure® will welcome John Rumberger, Ph.D., M.D., F.A.C.C. for his seminar entitled, “Metabolic Syndrome and Dietary Supplements–the Perspective of a Preventive Cardiologist.” Dr. Rumberger, a leading cardiologist and author of the recent book, The Way Diet, will highlight the therapeutic importance of a few targeted nutritional ingredients in the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular and metabolic disease. Two new formulas available from SGTI® that promise to offer beneficial market opportunities in the heart health category will be introduced during this presentation.
The second VendorWorks presentation will occur on Tuesday, May 2nd at 4 p.m. SGTI® and KGK Synergize will discuss the correlation between research and revenue in a talk called, “Science and Natural Products: A Model for Market Success.” This discussion will emphasize how research is shaping the nutritional marketplace and highlight existing case studies that demonstrate how pre-clinical and clinical trials impact product success. Kristen Reynolds, Manager of Marketing and Sales for KGK Synergize, and Kenn Israel, Director of Marketing for SGTI®, will co-present this topic regarding a key force that drives product sales in our industry.
