Crain joins the company with more than 17 years of entrepreneurial experience in socially responsible businesses. Crain’s sales and marketing expertise focuses on building the brands equity through superior product development and understanding core customers.  Most recently, Crain created and directed EcoDragon, a nationally recognized natural apparel brand. Prior to that, he ran SRCA, a consulting service for land and natural resource management.

Crain’s interest in organic food grew from a family background in agro-business and his subsequent conversion to organic gardening and support of local Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) during his years living in Maine. Previously, as a director of a New Hampshire not-for-profit, Crain educated disadvantaged youth about healthy diets and has continued to pursue and promote healthy lifestyles through progressive business practices. 

Distribution of Ruth’s Hemp Foods started last year in California, and has expanded to the mountain states, the Pacific Northwest, and the East Coast.
