February 23, 2005, Eugene, Or: Tsunami victims will be receiving a donation of adult multi-vitamins and children’s multi-chewables thanks to a unique alliance between two natural product companies.
Quantum Health of Eugene, Or., a marketer of natural products, and Pacific Nutritionals of Vancouver, WA, a supplement manufacturer have teamed up to donate the much needed nutritional aids to Tsunami victims through the relief organization Vitamin Angel Alliance.
“Pacific Nutritionals is one of the northwest's premier manufacturers,” noted Quantum CEO David Shaw. “We asked them to help out by making supplements for disaster victims and offered to pay all costs. But Michael Schaeffer, Pacific Nutritionals CEO went one better – he wanted to pay half the cost in addition to providing manufacturing.”
“We had thought about sending money,” Schaeffer added, “however, contributing something that we make and that is tangible and will be used right away is very gratifying.”
Eve McClure, Quantum Health’s president noted that, “the fact that these supplements will reach survivors within the week is one reason we wanted to work through Vitamin Angels – they’re doing an incredible job.”
