Partners To Develop New Products And Markets For Fish Oil Powders
(Orlando, Florida, June 26, 2006) Puleva Biotech, Granada, Spain, a division of Ebro-Puleva and The Wright Group, Crowley, LA., have announced a joint marketing and development partnership aimed at creating new products and markets for omega-3 essential fatty acids based on Puleva Biotech’s fish oils and Wright’s formulation and marketing expertise.
Wright will create a new product line of stable fish oil powders with excellent taste and odor characteristics based on its proprietary SuperCoat® and SMART™ microencapsulation technologies. The products will be designed for use in conventional fortified foods, functional foods and beverages and nutritional supplement applications.
The Wright Group will be exclusively responsible for all sales and marketing activities for the partnership in the U.S. and Canada and Puleva Biotech will be responsible for these activities in European, Asian and other markets where they already have a strong presence.
