NEW YORK, NY (February 18, 2005) – Donald Blaine, vice president of sales for Kyowa Hakko U.S.A., died Saturday, February 12 in Southern California. He was 53.

Blaine worked in a wide range of industry sectors including pharmaceutical, biotech, human and animal nutrition, dietary supplements and nutraceuticals for over 25 years. He was affiliated with Kyowa Hakko U.S.A. since 1995 and was based at the company’s Aliso Viejo office in Southern California. Previously he was a corporate officer and sales and marketing manager with Tanabe U.S.A. in San Diego. He was known for his attention to relationships between manufacturers, suppliers and customers.

Blaine, a Chicago native, is survived by his mother, Charmaine

Blaine, sister, Susan Cole and brother Terry. Services will be held in Chicago on February 21. The Family requests donations to the American Heart Association.
