Toronto, CANADA (March 10, 2005) – Ruth Shamai, who helped spearhead the rise and popularity of hemp foods in Canada, now has her sights set on the United States.
Shamai, the entrepreneur behind award-winning Ruth’s Hemp Foods (www.RuthsHempFoods.com), is spreading the word that hemp seed is a powerhouse of nutrition. The tiny seed is loaded with omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids, fiber, vitamins and minerals. Hemp seed is also a complete protein with all essential amino acids, trumping any other food besides soy in amount of protein it contains.
