Ann Arbor, MI – Ellen P. Holton has been appointed to the new position of national sales manager for NSF’s corporate retail programs.  Ms. Holton was most recently sales and marketing director for Quality Assurance International (QAI, Inc), an NSF International Company that specializes in organic certification.

Ms. Holton will help position NSF as the preferred provider of comprehensive certification programs and services to major retailers and other Fortune 500 clients.  She will oversee marketing initiatives, implement corporate strategies and provide market and sales insight to NSF’s retail programs. 

“Ellen has extensive experience in marketing and sales, working closely with market leaders in the food industry,” said Randy Francisco, director of corporate sales.  “In her new role, Ellen will expand her relationships with existing and prospective accounts to provide an even broader array of services to meet customers’ needs in product quality and safety.”

As director of marketing and sales for Quality Assurance International, Ms. Holton managed all marketing initiatives and developed new markets and profit centers.  She was also responsible for media relations, the management of QAI’s retail, private label and restaurant certification programs as well as verification programs for textiles, fiber and food security.

Prior to joining QAI, Ms. Holton was a broadcast news reporter for San Diego National Public Radio (NPR) Affiliate Radio Station.  She spent several years in the San Diego broadcast market producing, writing, reporting and anchoring radio newscasts for several stations.  Ms. Holton has earned a bachelor’s of arts degree in American studies, with an emphasis in political science from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
