CHATSWORTH, Calif.--Jan. 20, 2003--Essentially Pure Ingredients, a division of Natrol, Inc. (Nasdaq:NTOL), announced that Lisa Clark has joined the company as Director of Business Development.
Ms. Clark has extensive corporate development experience focusing on sales and marketing strategies and is well respected by her peers and colleagues. Her expertise encompasses the ingredient side of the food industry as well as retail, nutraceutical manufacturing, and product development in the natural foods and nutritional industries. She has worked with companies in the food and dietary supplement industry such as General Foods, McCormick, Uncle Ben's, CPC/Knorr, French's Ingredients, Nutrilite and Leiner Health Products, among others.

Ms. Clark's prior positions include President/CEO of Klaire Laboratories; West Coast Account Manager of National Enzyme Company; and Sales & Special Projects Manager of International Dehydrated Foods; as well as a role with the corporate management team for the biotech device startup VitaGen. Most recently, Ms. Clark founded Jean Enterprises, a sales and marketing service provider.
