Los Angeles, CA, April 11th, 2005 – Jarrow Formulas, Inc., a nutrition industry pioneer headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, announces the hiring of Brian Peeters as its Probiotic Product Manager.

Previously, Peeters worked for 3 years at Takeda Pharmaceuticals as an outside sales representative in the San Francisco Bay Area.  His responsibilities included sales and marketing of Actos, Takeda’s insulin-sensitizing drug for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes, as well as Niaspan, an agent used to treat dyslipidemia.  He also was involved in creating new computer-based training programs for the sales organization, as well as coordinating the managed care marketing efforts of his district.  Prior to that, he worked 3 years as the National Sales Manager for Nature Sweet Inc., selling the Lo Han fruit concentrate flavor enhancer to food, beverage, and nutritional supplement manufacturers.

Peeters obtained his BS in Exercise Physiology and Nutritional Sciences from Truman State University in 1998.
