Golden, Colorado-based firm’s revenues grew by 387 percent in 2004
iSatori Technologies (Golden, Colorado) has been recognized for its tremendous revenue growth in 2004 by the Nutrition Business Journal (NBJ). NBJ is an executive journal focusing primarily on the nutrition industry. The CEO of iSatori, Stephen Adele, formally received the NBJ’s Gold Award for Growth in Small Companies category during a ceremony in California on July 22, 2005.
In 2004, after only two years in business, iSatori’s revenues grew 387 percent to $12 million, up from $3 million the year before. The company expects its revenues to reach $18 million this year. As part of its mission to support its products with scientific evidence, iSatori has funded two independent, double-blind, randomized clinical studies, one of which confirmed the effectiveness for weight loss of its flagship product, Lean System 7®, and was recently published in the peer-reviewed journal, Nutrition. This year, it became the first company to release an all-day energy pill called ENERGIZE™.
The NBJ award follows an earlier announcement that iSatori’s founder Stephen Adelé, at age 33, was selected as a finalist in The Best Bosses Award 2004 by Fortune Small Business Magazine and Winning Workplaces. The contest promotes entrepreneurial and successful workplaces and organizations. Adelé was chosen for his personal commitment to the growth of his company and the ongoing training and personal development of his employees.
iSatori Technologies was founded in early 2002 to provide intelligent nutritional products and solutions. It currently has 12 full time employees. In addition to Lean System 7® and ENERGIZE™, iSatori’s products include Meta-CEL, a muscle-builder supplement drink mix introduced in 2003, and Eat-Smart®, a meal replacement protein shake launched in 2004, and has slated the launch of a new supplement in 2005, H+Blocker™, which the company claims will overtake the recent success of the popular sports supplement creatine.
