Co-Founder to Discuss FTC Advertising Compliance
SALT LAKE CITY, June 19, 2006 --- Jeff Hilton, president and co- founder of Integrated Marketing Group (IMG), a marketing and branding agency servicing a national and international clientele, will present "What Every Marketer Should Know About FTC Advertising Compliance," at the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Annual Meeting and Food Expo on Monday, June 26 from 3:05 - 4:05 p.m. in room S320C of the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Fla. Hilton's lecture is one of several within a formal symposium that will address "Current Market Trends in Health & Wellness and How to Protect the Scientific Investment for Market Advantage."
"The Federal Trade Commission has heightened its level of activity in regulating what it deems 'false and misleading' advertising in the functional foods and dietary supplement categories," said Hilton. "Because of this increased regulation, it is imperative that every food and beverage marketer be knowledgeable about these guidelines and analyze their communication strategies to ensure compliance."
Jeff Hilton has 27 years of broad-based marketing and business experience, including 15 years spent within the natural products industry. He has been recognized by "Advertising Age" magazine as one of the nation's Top 100 Marketers and has guided the national brand- building efforts of numerous recognized natural ingredients and consumer products.
