Robert Orr, the newly elected Chairman of GOED Omega-3 said, “We’re excited about the mandate that our members have given us and we’re looking forward to creating a framework for the global organization that will allow us to promote the awareness of the many health benefits of EPA and DHA Omega-3s and effectively address the global dietary deficiency of these essential nutrients.”
Thomas Grys, the newly elected Vice-Chairman of GOED Omega-3 said, “With founding members from four continents, GOED Omega-3 is a true global organization from day one and we expect our membership to more than double within the next 3 months! The health benefits of EPA/DHA Omega-3 have been well documented, but the consumer, there are many health messages out there. The GOED Omega-3 initiative has a clear mission to make it easier for consumers to understand the difference in the health benefits between the various sources of Omega-3. GOED Omega-3 will help educate consumers, support public education, safety and product quality standards, and will also contribute in setting Recommended Daily Intakes and health claim standards supported by scientific research."
