TORONTO, Ontario, August 7, 2008 – More than 3,600 natural and organic products retailers, buyers, industry leaders, trend spotters, and media will meet in Toronto for Expo East, September 11-14, 2008.
Expo East, produced by the Canadian Health Food Association (CHFA), is the largest conference and trade show in Canada for the natural and organic product industry featuring more than 550 exhibiting companies with the latest in natural and organic products for home, health, and planet.
U.S. industry publication, Tradeshow Week, recognized the CHFA’s Expo East as one of the 50 largest trade shows in Canada, ranking it 30th in the country.
For this year’s show, organizers have created a packed conference schedule preceding the trade show. For two days, September 11-12, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the newest developments in the industry, including an update on Bill C-51, Proposed Amendments to the Food & Drugs Act.
This year’s keynote will be delivered by Silken Laumann, a three-time Olympic medalist and two-time winner of the Canadian Female Athlete of the Year award. Laumann will discuss her story of courage and triumph over adversity, which has propelled her into one of Canada’s top motivational speakers. Laumann will speak on Saturday, September 13 at 9:00 a.m.
For more details on Expo East, go to www.chfa.ca. Editorial staff may attend the show free of charge. Register at the CHFA Media Centre. This show is open to a professional audience of buyers, retailers, media and service providers. It is not open to the general public.
