EuroPharma Narrows Focus to Product Development, Innovation Green Bay, WI (March 15, 2005) – EuroPharma’s president Terry Lemerond today signed a licensing and distribution agreement with the company he founded and brought to prominence almost 25 years ago, Enzymatic Therapy. Beginning this week at Natural Products Expo West, Enzymatic Therapy will take over marketing, sales and distribution of EuroPharma’s SneezEze and Renouvelle products. The companies anticipate partnering on additional innovative products in the future.
Innovation is the key to success in any industry, but particularly in the dietary supplements and natural products arena. Terry Lemerond is known for pioneering new products, categories and methods, and has continued on that path with EuroPharma, the company he founded three years ago after selling Enzymatic Therapy.
“Starting from scratch, building a new business is always challenging, interesting, and a lot of fun but after three years EuroPharma has made a decision to pursue our true passion.” Lemerond said. “The past history of our EuroPharma team, even when at Enzymatic Therapy, was steeped in innovation, creativity, and the development of new products. For example Lemerond’s introduction of Glucosamine Sulfate, IP-6, the menopause category, standardization of herbal extracts, and complex formulations were all firsts in the industry.
The development of new products never presented a challenge to the EuroPharma team. In fact, they came up with so many new ideas that it was impossible for a company that size to market all of them successfully. So rather than spending their resources on developing a larger infrastructure it made sense to partner with those companies who excel in marketing, sales, and distribution, yet seek new product development expertise.
So to launch the company’s new, more specific focus, EuroPharma will partner with Enzymatic Therapy for EuroPharma’s flagship products. With many more products in the pipeline, EuroPharma will continue to work with Enzymatic Therapy, as well as source additional partnerships for the other new products when appropriate.
True to the company’s track record of introducing category-changing supplements, one of the most exciting products in the EuroPharma pipeline is a patented Joint/Anti-Inflammatory product for which the company has exclusive licensing for North America. It is clinically studied for its anti-inflammatory relief of osteoarthritis, is more effective than glucosamine and will be the next generation in joint health.
Other products under development include the most powerful carb blocker, a safe and effective fat blocker, and a highly effective anti-viral product. Research is underway for an herbal digestive; a unique Indian botanical that improves muscle mass for athletes and for those recovering from serious illnesses; and a product for regulation of blood sugar. EuroPharma is collaborating with a company on an immune modulator that is showing to be 100 times stronger than anything else in the market today.
“With the completion of the research on each of our new botanicals we can verify effectiveness, safety, complete toxicology, pharmacology and provide clinical studies to support the marketing of these new botanical products.” Lemerond said. “By partnering these and other products with highly reputable companies we can significantly impact the growth of the natural products industry. We will help these companies launch new and exclusive products based on the latest scientific evidence. We see an enormous opportunity to bring new life and energy to the new products arena; products that are based on science and meet the guidelines of the FDA and FTC. “
EuroPharma has an extensive resource network of industry scientists, innovators, and experts in the U.S., Europe and Asia as a result of the business relationships and friendships established by Mr. Lemerond through extensive travel in Europe and Asia over the past several decades. This includes a partnership with a biotech firm in Europe that develops new ingredients and products exclusively for EuroPharma. This firm also provides the toxicology, pharmacology, and efficacy data to support the desired health claims. Located in Green Bay, Wisconsin, EuroPharma, Inc., is a European-inspired company with a mission to bring truly unique and industry changing products to the U.S. marketplace. EuroPharma is committed to discovering innovative products that have been thoroughly researched and demonstrated to be safe, natural and effective which will help people live healthier and more fulfilling lives. EuroPharma is an extension of its founder, Terry Lemerond’s historic successes and a proven model of product development. For more information, visit www.EuroPharmaUSA.com. - END -
