Embria Names Reeves Director of Research and Development

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, July 17, 2006 --- Embria(tm) Health Sciences, a raw material manufacturer of science-backed natural ingredients for the human nutrition market, appointed Stuart Reeves, Ph.D. to the position of director of research and development. Dr. Reeves is responsible for leading Embria's internal science program, including contract research, and working with the development team to complete extensive research on potential new products.

An international biotechnology scientist, Dr. Reeves has authored dozens of peer-reviewed papers for such revered publications as the Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, Biochimica et Biophysica Acta and Food and Agricultural Immunlogy. Having held senior academic positions at the University of Sussex and Cornell University, he currently serves as a board and panel member on various state and university committees in Iowa. Dr. Reeves was formerly the primary senior scientist for Diamond V Mills, Inc., Embria's parent company, where he laid the scientific foundation for many of their research-based nutrition products. He holds bachelor's and doctorate degrees from London University.
