Since the EpiCor Rural Senior Health Project's October launch, Embria(R) Health Sciences, along with Project partners, Nourish America and the National Foundation for Women Legislators (NFWL), has successfully distributed 20,000 bottles of Embria's immune-balancing supplement EpiCor to 4,000 senior citizens living in select rural areas in Iowa and Idaho. Embria president, Paul Faganel, was invited to speak about the Project at the 70th Annual NFWL Conference last month.
Faganel updated conference-goers on the following Project-related highlights: -The immense positive feedback already received from the communities served; -The active role Nourish America played in the Project's organization and publicity; -How the tracking of health care claims and premiums brought about the discovery of EpiCor; -Ways that non-profit and commercial organizations alike can get involved; and -Plans for the Project's 2009 expansion to reach additional rural senior populations in select regions nationwide.
