Lacey, WA – July 5, 2006: Natural products industry veteran Susan Haeger has been named Vice President Corporate Communications and Government Affairs of ECONET, Inc. Prior to New Hope, Haeger served as president/chief executive officer of Citizens for Health, the nation’s leading consumer advocacy organization for choice in health care. Before taking over Citizens leadership in 1995 she was co-founder of Ascent Marketing, a specialist marketing and communications company serving natural, organic and sustainable product companies.
Haeger is a frequent international speaker, addressing consumer and market issues at academic and legislative forums, government agency meetings, consumer and trade shows, health boards and broadcast media programs. Industry recognition of Haeger includes receiving the National Nutritional Foods Association 2005 "Crusader Award" in recognition of her notable contributions to the natural products industry above and beyond commercial success.
