Netherlands-based DSM has announced FY05 Q3 results, reporting net profit of EUR 151 million, up 25% from Q3 2004. The company projects operating profit(a) for the whole of 2005 will exceed EUR 800 million and will thus be substantially above 2004 results of EUR 567 million. The company posted a total Operating profit of EUR 220 million for Q3, up 44% from Q3 2004, due mainly to higher margins and lower fixed costs.
Net sales for DSM Nutritional Products rose from EUR 472 million to EUR 480 million for the quarter, with 9 month results showing net sales of EUR 1,426 million versus EUR 1,430 million for the 9 month period, prior year. DSM Food Specialties' profit increased due to higher sales volumes. |
