LOS ANGELES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 10/11/2005 -- Dogswell, one of the nation's leading manufacturers of healthy, premium dog treats, announced today that the company will begin offering a new line of treats for cats called "Catswell." The new treats, initially available in two varieties, will be made from premium chicken breast and beef liver -- the same as Dogswell's popular dog treats.

The new Catswell line will include Vitakitty™ and Happy Hips™ treats -- both available in chicken breast and beef liver -- and will contain many of the same supplements presently included in the Dogswell line. Other varieties of Catswell treats will be introduced in the months ahead.

Packaged in convenient 4-ounce bags, Catswell treats will be available in stores in November 2005. Like Dogswell's dog treats, the Catswell line will be sold in over 4,000 specialty pet stores and retail outlets nationwide.

"Over the past year, people have been approaching us at pet shows, specialty food shows and pet industry events asking us when we are going to come out with a line of healthy treats for cats and kittens," explained Marco Giannini, president and founder of Dogswell. Most cat foods state on their labels that they contain those vitamins but, he noted, they are often "cooked out" during the production process.

Catswell Happy Hips, which is similar to the Dogswell treats of the same name, contains glucosamine hydrochloride, chondroitin sulfate and vitamin E that help to maintain healthy joints in cats and kittens.
