CHANTILLY, Va., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Nutravail Technologies is announcing the upcoming launch of the first of a number of human-tested "sport safe" nutritional supplements, DRIVE XP. Sport Safe(TM) DRIVE XP Performance Drink is a natural energy and electrolyte powder drink mix that also provides athletes the benefits of glucosamine for joint support. Nutravail's sports drink was administered in a clinical setting and was shown to be free of all banned substances as defined by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in subsequent urine tests.

All SPORT SAFE(TM) supplements and drinks will be clinically tested on human subjects, and quality controlled so that the use of the products does not lead to any positive tests for banned substances. The quality control processes of testing in human subjects is beyond what is performed for many pharmaceuticals.

Athletes, coaches, trainers and parents are aware that sports federations have banned the use of certain classes of substances such as stimulants, narcotics, anabolic agents, diuretics, peptide hormones and substances that alter the integrity of the urine samples. They also forbid blood doping and restrict substances such as asthma drugs and caffeine. However, analysis of urine samples has produced "doping positives" which authorities have sometimes accepted as arising from the use of supplements. Some sport authorities have warned competitors not to take supplements.
