Den Bommel, The Netherlands – In response to the continued global expansion of Bioriginal Food & Science Corp., the Company’s European facility - Bioriginal Europe/Asia - has recently announced three new appointments. Mr. Martin Hettema, MSc., has been named Area Sales Manager-Asia; Mrs. Hanneke Schleicher has been appointed the QESH Manager; and Mr. Joan de Jong is the new European Operations Manager. All three will be based in Bioriginal’s Netherlands office.
Martin Hettema will be responsible for sales and new business in Asia. Previously, Martin worked at Jan Dekker International BV where he was involved with sales and marketing strategies in the European health and nutrition industry. He received his Master of Science in Management at the University of Greenwich in London. He has completed an Executive Training Programme (ETP 19) in Tokyo Japan, to learn the Japanese language and more about the country’s market conditions.
Hanneke Schleicher is Bioriginal Europe/Asia’s new Quality, Environment, Safety and Health (QESH) Manager. Hanneke is responsible for quality, analysis and certification, and coordination of quality control testing. She will maintain certification programs (ISO9001:2000 and HACCP) and keep up to date with legislation and regulations. Hanneke joins Bioriginal Europe/Asia from Meneba, where was the corporate quality manager and gained over 20 years of experience.
Joan de Jong will oversee all European plant operations including planning, storage, oilseed production, blending, processing and new product development. During his career, Joan has gained experience in planning, purchasing and quality inspection, including many years of experience in the position of Purchasing Manager at Banner Pharmacaps Europe BV.
Bioriginal welcomes these new additions to its team and believes that their knowledge, experience and excellent skills will be valuable contributions to the globally growing Company.
