The Far East is BioGaia´s most important and prioritised market. For a year and a half BioGaia have had a representative in place in Hong Kong and have also engaged an agent for the Chinese market.    
 
In the Far East, Japan represents BioGaia´s single largest market. For 10 years Chichiyasu Co. Ltd in Hiroshima has been BioGaia´s licensee for dairy products in Japan. The contract expired at the end of 2005. A new long contract with improved terms has now been signed with Chichiyasu.

Further, BioGaia has signed an agreement with Biolife in Malaysia for the distribution of Biogaia´s oil drops for children through pharmacies, as well as an agreement with Age D'Or Health Care in Singapore for distribution of oil drops and tablets. Age D'Or is a distributor for a number of larger pharmaceutical companies and sells mainly through hospitals and doctors.
