City of Industry, CA, July 1, 2009 — Best Formulations has been approved as a NSF GMP registered facility.
The NSF GMP Registration program verifies that manufacturers recognize the importance of product safety and quality manufacturing. During the multi-day NSF audit, Best Formulations’ personnel, plant, equipment, production process and control systems, and documentation were evaluated and found to be compliant to NSF/ANSI Standard 173 GMP requirements, which are consistent with the published GMP regulation for dietary supplements, as defined in the FDA’s 21 CFR 111
“With the new FDA GMPs for dietary supplements going into effect, we were getting a lot of feedback from our customers requesting NSF Registration. We are a customer-focused company, and responded accordingly. Having more registrations for us does not mean additional work. It just means that we have met the standards for a number of federal regulatory and industry organizations. Quality is not a department, but an integral process that has been built into our culture and systems,” commented founder and President Charlie Ung.
Best Formulations is a contract manufacturer of softgels, tablets, capsules, powders, and teas. In addition to this NSF GMP registration, Best Formulations is NPA GMP Registered and has a FDA Drug License to manufacture pharmaceutical products.
Senior Vice President Robin Koon added, “NSF has done a great job educating the industry and public about the importance of safety and quality in both finished products and manufacturing. We’re proud to be NSF Registered as that instills additional confidence with our customers as to the quality of the products we manufacture.”
For additional information, please contact Eugene Ung at 626.912.9998 or email eugene@bestformulations.com
