Lacey, WA – January 13, 2006 – Aloecorp, the world’s leading vertically integrated supplier of bioactive Aloe vera raw materials, has announced the hiring of Peter Hafermann as President and Chief Executive Officer effective January 13, 2006. Hafermann brings more than 20 years of international and national management experience in nutritional health and pharmaceuticals, overseeing research and development, quality assurance and control, product development and manufacturing, and sales and marketing.

Hafermann’s impressive credentials include eight years at BI Nutraceuticals in Long Beach, California, the largest manufacturer, marketer and distributor of herbal powders and extracts in America, where he served in positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as President.  He has also worked as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, and Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  Prior to that, Hafermann worked for eleven years at FMC Corporation, a diversified chemical company serving global agricultural, industrial and consumer markets.  While at FMC, he held a variety of positions, including Manager of Drug Delivery Services at the company’s corporate headquarters in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Hafermann also served as the company’s Market Manager in Brussels, Belgium, as well as Regional Sales Representative in Montreal, Canada.

A Canadian by birth, Hafermann graduated from McGill University’s School of Graduate Studies in Montreal with a degree in management.  Prior to that, he completed his undergraduate work at the University of Waterloo, Ontario, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, with honors.
