Douglas S. Kalman MS, RD, FACN is a Director at Miami Research Associates in the Nutrition and Endocrinology Division. Over the past nine years he has published a number of scientific papers regarding the safety and efficacy of dietary supplements. In addition, scientific publications include issues regarding cancer and nutrition. HIV/AIDS, defining sports nutrition, disordered eating and other interesting topics. Mr. Kalman has been quoted in The New York Times,The Washington Post, USA Today, Miami Herald, Newark Star-Ledger and New York Newsday, on MSNBC as well as many periodicals. Additionally, he has been a nutrition expert for the CNN (CNN TalkBack Live), UPN (WWOR-NY), NBC (Miami) and CBS (New York/Miami). He has also published works in the fields of oncology, sports nutrition, HIV/AIDS, eating disorders and metabolism/pharmacokinetics. Doug has published over 100 lay-press articles and more has more than 50 scientific publications to date. His current work is concentrating on diabetes, obesity, metabolism and eating disorders.
